Connect to the BBS

Disconnected by Peer // AT is an Austrian, German-language Mystic BBS.

SSH provides an encrypted connection. Telnet transmits login details and session contents without encryption. Use your BBS account for the BBS login.

Replace YOUR_BBS_USER with your BBS username:

ssh -p 2222 YOUR_BBS_USER@bbs.disconnected-by-peer.at

In a BBS client, select SSH, enter the hostname and explicitly set port 2222. Port 22 is not the BBS login port.

In a BBS client, select Telnet and enter the hostname and port 23. If a Telnet command-line client is installed:

telnet bbs.disconnected-by-peer.at 23

• Use ANSI with the CP437 character set and a font containing the DOS line-drawing characters.
• Start with 80 columns × 25 rows for the classic display.
• The DbP theme also has 132- and 160-column variants. Match the terminal-size setting in the BBS to your client.
• The BBS is primarily German-speaking; this connection guide is also available in English.

Messages, files, games and chat remain at the heart of the BBS. The interface is being updated in small steps with the DbP Workstation 2000 theme.
