Wiki comments and moderation

Guest comments are disabled. New comments require moderation. Moderation notifications are enabled, and mail is sent through the mail gateway and its SMTP2GO relay. The sysop confirmed that sending and receiving mail work.

Historical blog posts remain available. Clearly identified advertising and bot comments were backed up and removed.

A future extension may check new comments for advertising, spam and relevance. It is not installed or active.

• Suspicious or uncertain comments stay in the moderation queue.
• A short explanation supports manual review.
• The model must not permanently delete comments automatically.
• If the API fails, comments remain held for review.
• A separate API account and a server-side protected key are required. An interactive chat session is not a permanent wiki integration.
• Model, timeout and spending limits must be configurable.

Spam detection needs an appropriate classification task; general harmful-content categories are not a complete spam filter. Useful outcomes could be “no concerns”, “suspected spam” and “manual review”.
